fear of the inevitable
we all live to die. we witness people burning or being buried, worrying that one day we will leave this world too. but why does this fear persist? we know everything ends; we know the truth. why can't we simply accept it? what drives us to fill our time with unnecessary distractions, merely to mask this reality? we perform rituals and pray, doing anything to keep this ultimate truth at bay—even though it will catch up to us regardless. why fear death and lose the beauty of life? why ignore death and fear the uncertainty of living? why fear outcomes that are destined to occur, regardless of our anxiety?
