human and contradiction
there comes a point in life when you stop asking whether the world is fair. not because you've answered the question. because you've grown tired of asking it. you begin to notice smaller things instead. you realize that life isn't made of revelations. it's mostly maintenance. you don't become wise one afternoon. you simply stop expecting people—including yourself—to be the same person every day. one evening you're patient. the next morning you're unfair to your parents. one year you believe heartbreak is the end. another year you smile because it happened at all. being human isn't consistency. it's a variation. and perhaps maturity is nothing more than recognizing your contradictions without rushing to erase them.
